| Spruce Pine NC Polar Plunge |

Come to the Riverside Park Polar Plunge on the North Toe River in Spruce Pine NC for the 4th annual “Freezin’ For A Reason”. Individuals, groups, or organizations are invited to participate in this crazy winter fun. This Spruce Pine NC Polar Plunge in Riverside Park raises money for nearly 40,000 Special Olympics athletes in the North Carolina area. Polar Plungers participating in the event will jump into the frigid waters of the North Toe River and are encouraged to dress in outrageous costumes when they make their plunge. A variety of prizes will be awarded for the best costume. There is a minimum pledge of $50 that is necessary to partake in the event. All Riverside Park Polar Plunge participants will receive a long-sleeve “Freezin’ For A Reason” Spruce Pine Polar Plunge T-shirt. The Toe River Polar Plunge festival activities at Riverside Park in Spruce Pine North Carolina begin with registration at 2:30 PM and a costume contest scheduled for 3:00 PM. The actual Polar Plunge will start immediately after the best costume contest.
